Aldeburgh Young Musicians (AYM) creative workshops are aimed at potential new students as an introduction to this unique scheme. The day is an opportunity for anyone who is interested or curious about AYM to find out more.

The next AYM Creative Workshop in Norwich is taking place at Norwich School on Thursday 25 January 2018 from 9.00am – 3.30pm.

Register online

Deadline for registration is 18th January.

The workshop includes a brief presentation and short film about AYM, followed by a mock audition with a willing participant – this will demonstrate the audition process, how to prepare and help students understand what AYM staff look for. This will be followed by a general question and answer session with staff and students from AYM.

Working with professional musicians, the creative workshop will further develop your musical skills and include a combination of rhythmic work, improvisation and composition, as well as jamming, to create new music together. It will be an opportunity to work with other able musicians in an imaginative way. No experience of improvisation is necessary to take part.

Aldeburgh Young Musicians works with exceptionally gifted young students, but the scheme is also looking for those with potential. If you have musical passion and drive, why not see if this scheme might be for you?

If you would like to take part in the workshop on 25th January in Norwich, please register online using the link above.
