Exciting opportunity for young musicians to take part in Beethoven workshop!

Wymondham Youth Music Society (WYMS) has teamed up with the Norfolk and Norwich Festival to put on an evening working with professionals from the renowned Britten Sinfonia. This exciting opportunity is for WYMS members and other young players of orchestral instruments from across Norfolk.

This Beethoven Workshop is described by the N&N Festival: “Pupils will be introduced to our Beethoven-focused 2017 Festival concert with Britten Sinfonia in a creative and interactive way, exploring new music collectively: improvising, analysing and performing. Pupils will have the opportunity to work alongside professional musicians to gain insight into the instruments, repertoire and concert setting.”

The workshop will take place on Thursday 4 May at the usual WYMS rehearsal time of 6:00pm. The location will be the South Hall of Wymondham High Academy (entrance off Norwich Road).

WYMS will be subsidising the cost to encourage as many as possible to attend. WYMS members can attend FREE; non-members will pay only £6. The normal N&N Festival cost would be £12 per pupil.

If you are interested, please let Linda White, WYMS secretary, know by phoning her on 01953 529158. Alternatively you can get an application form from the WYMS website – www.wyms.org.uk. You will need to reply as soon as possible and at the very latest by Friday 28 April.
