Norfolk Music Hub are thrilled to welcome back Sinfonia Viva to Norfolk for a special concert on Tuesday 6th July, 2021.
This concert will be streamed live from The Auden Theatre at Gresham’s School and we are inviting young people from across Norfolk to practice and perform along with Sinfonia Viva one of the selected pieces from the programme so that they can play and/or sing along with the performance.
The concert will commence at 1.45pm and will last a maximum of one hour and is most suitable for a key stage 2 audience. We are inviting schools to register to either watch the concert or learn the material below and play along from your classes.
Please note this opportunity is for Norfolk schools and students only.
Resources
A link to the vocal and instrumental arrangements which are hosted on the Norfolk Music Hub of Charanga are available here. If you need a reminder of your Charanga login please let Krista Ribbons know.
If you have a visiting teacher from Norfolk Music Service who usually works with your class they are aware of this opportunity and will answer any questions you may have.
There are parts available for: voice, djembe, recorder, glockenspiel, french horn, trumpet, trombone, guitar, violin, cello, double bass and a steel pan resource will also be added to the resources over the coming weeks.
All of these resources can also be shared with young people to practice from home via Charanga Yumu.
If you have the one of these instruments taught within your school by one of our teachers you may like them to learn their parts during their weekly whole class lesson (if the teacher feels this is suitable).
On the day of the performance The Carnival Suite piece will be conducted by John K Miles (the composer) and schools will be able to play along live with Sinfonia Viva
