Norfolk Music Hub are continuing to support students from across the county as part of our Covid Recovery Plan with both online ensembles and blended offers.

These ensembles are offered to any young person under the age of 18 and residing in Norfolk, fully funded by Norfolk Music Hub. These online ensembles can be accessed in addition to our face to face ensemble offer. To find out more about face to face ensembles please click here.

Firespinners Boys’ Choir

This group is targeted at males between the age of 7 and 13. These sessions will continue online with the addition of half termly meets at various venues across the county.

This offer moved online from September 2020 to continue to offer a provision through Covid restrictions. It has proved so successful with members joining us from across the county that we are now looking to offer this as a blended vocal offer with both online and face to face delivery.

When: Every Tuesday in term time from 4.30pm-5.15pm.


Stepping Stone Grade 5 – Online Theory 

Join Richard Ward from Norfolk Music Service in these weekly online grade 5 theory sessions designed to assist students who have already completed grade 4 theory.

When: Every Tuesday in term time from 4.30pm-5.15pm.


Jukes (Junior Ukulele Orchestra) 

We are delighted to continue to offer Jukes (junior ukulele orchestra) this academic year. These sessions will run once a month online with termly meets at different locations across the county.

For those of you who have previously been involved in Jukes please register for the advanced session.

Those of you joining us new this year please register for the beginner sessions and you will be contacted by a member of the music service team after the first session if we feel you are ready to move into the advanced group.

When: 4.30pm-5.15pm on the below Wednesdays.

Home Studio 21 (beginners) – Music Tech 

Music  technology tuition for young people across Norfolk to develop their creating, editing and collaboration schools to be able to produce music in their own bedrooms using a digital audio workstation (DAW).

Suitable for students aged 8 -13 years of age. You do not need any previous music tech experience to register. Places are limited to 15 students. On registering you will be committing to this course for the academic year (see the dates of sessions below).

When: 4.30pm-5.15pm on the below Wednesdays.

Sunshine Singers

Sunshine Singers is a singing group without barriers led by Lindsay Carruthers from Norfolk Music Service. The group is for young people with learning, physical and/or social communication challenges that would like to meet, weekly online with other like-minded young people through singing and signing. Suitable for students age 9 and upwards.

When: Every Thursday in term time from 5pm-5.40pm.
