The Ensemble East aim is to perform quality classical and contemporary chamber music around Norfolk. Whilst the main ensemble will base itself on a chamber orchestra format, the ensemble is designed to develop smaller groups within e.g. string quartets, wind quintets, octets etc. and incorporate these ensembles in the concert series, giving opportunities for lesser known composers and works to be performed.
First concert is part of the Humphry Repton 200 Festival in Aylsham Church on 29 April.
