Even You Song is a new Evensong composition, and an art project by artist Bettina Furnée & writer Lucy Sheerman. The words are based on interviews with ordinary couples, contemplating an extended mission to the moon with their partner. Award-winning composer Cheryl Frances-Hoad set the resulting libretto to music for a 50-minute Evensong composition for choir and organ.
It will be performed at King’s Lynn Minster in a special production on 15 July 2019 timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.
The composition will be performed by primary school groups from St Martha’s Catholic Primary, Tilney All Saints, Anthony Curton Primary and West Lynn Primary alongside a professional-standard adult choir.
