The Big Pump Organ is back in Norfolk as part of King’s Lynn Festival Extra!

Sarah Kenchington (Artist, Maker, Musician and Performer) is bringing her wonderful and whimsical Wind Pipe Organ to King’s Lynn. Families and school groups are invited to interact with this uniquely colourful and fascinating instrument and creating beautiful music.

Family Workshop: Sunday 7 October, 14.00 – 16.00

Schools Workshops: Monday 8 – Friday 12 October

Participating schools will create their own musical composition on this unique instrument and then go on to explore how sound is generated through organ pipes by making their own instrument to take away.

King’s Lynn Festival are also looking for young musicians aged 16-18 to take part in a series of workshops leading to a performance on the pump organ of ‘Spiegel im Spiegel’ by Arvo Part. The performance will take place in St Nicholas’ Chapel on Friday 12 October.
