The session is for all Primary Practitioners whether you are a Head teacher/SLT/Curriculum lead looking for a way to embed music into a broad and enriching school curriculum or a classroom teacher with a passion for building cultural capital in a fun and engaging way.

This training is for everyone: Specialists and Non-specialists.

The MMC is part of the Government’s commitment to ensure having the opportunity to study and explore music is not a privilege; it is a vital part of a broad and ambitious curriculum. It sets out a detailed and progressive formula to ensure that through working with their Music Education Hubs, schools can provide a quality music education for their pupils, ensuring that every child develops a life-long love of music and musical performance.

The curriculum provides a roadmap to introduce pupils to the delights and disciplines of music, and sets out a clearly sequenced and ambitious approach to music teaching,  helping them to appreciate and understand the works of the musical giants of the past, while also equipping them with the technical skills and creativity to compose and perform.
