Thetford Voices present their 12th annual summer workshop session.
Led by experienced and inspirational musicians, a programme of songs in varied styles for children and young people with closing concert.
Thetford Voices Open Singing Workshops run over Tuesday 13th & Wednesday 14th August giving toddlers through to sixth formers the chance to learn and perform a host of great songs.
The main two day course for 6 -16 year olds runs from 9.30 – 3.45 on Tuesday and 1.30 – 8.00, with a concert for friends and family at 7.15, on Wednesday. On Tuesday at 10.00 there is our Toddlers’ Hour for 3-5 year olds and then for older students, 15 and over, a mixed voice Harmony Session from 4.15 – 5.45.
Work tunes, protest anthems, songs of personal inspiration and rousing celebrations of heroic courage – all are Strong Songs and great to sing. We make sure that all groups within the age-range, young and older, beginners as well as experienced singers, find plenty to enjoy – big choruses, dramatic story songs, rounds, ballads, action songs and singing in parts.
Thetford Voices is the junior branch of Thetford Singers (charity number 2691421).
