Primary and secondary schools in Norfolk are being offered the chance to be part of a free, unique experience offered by Trinity College London music board.

A concert and workshop, based upon the Rock and Pop syllabuses is taking place on Wednesday 14th March at OPEN, Norwich. A live professional band is going to give a concert, which will be followed up by workshop sessions on each of the disciplines (guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drum and singing), with each member of the band.

The primary schools’ session, for Years 5 & 6, will be from 10.00am-12.00 (registration at 9.30am). All those who attend the morning session will be awarded a ‘Discover Arts Award’ Certificate.

The secondary schools’ session, for Years 9-11, will be from 1.00-3.00pm (registration at 12.30pm).

The main concept is access – that is, it is open to all, to allow all children to experience live music making, and not just to those who already learn an instrument. This will be an amazing opportunity for KS2, KS3 & KS4 children to see first-class live music and engage with professional musicians.

There is room for 200 children in both sessions and spaces will be offered on a first come first served basis. Please contact Anna Parker at anna.parker@norfolkadvisory.com if you have any further questions and to book your place on these sessions not to be missed!
