AST Hingham

Academy of St Thomas
St Andrew’s Church, Hingham
Saturday 17th September @ 7.30pm

An extra concert this year on Saturday 17th September by invitation of the Hingham History Centre and the St Andrew’s Heritage Fund highlights young talent. Following the highly successful Mahler Symphony No 8, the conductor Matthew Andrews will guest with the AST with two Norwich raised soloists who are in final years at the Royal Academy of Music playing two popular Haydn Concertos.

Both Cameron Johnson, trumpet and Thomas Isaac, cello were Music Scholars at Norwich School and gained scholarships to study at the Royal Academy of Music. Cameron was also previously principal trumpet for the Norfolk County Youth Orchestra, and Tom won Norfolk Young Musician Competition in 2010. Now poised to embark on professional careers, we are delighted to welcome them home to perform with the Academy of St Thomas.

The rest of the programme comprises Mozart’s Symphony No 38 ‘The Prague’  and a rousing overture to Zais by Rameau.

Tickets are on sale now at Prelude Records – 01603 628319.
