There is an exciting upcoming live broadcast taking place in July from Liverpool Philharmonic. This may be of interest to all schools, particularly those with pupils with additional needs, disabilities and who are d/Deaf.

This live music opportunity is taking place on Thursday 11 July, 2-3pm, via your classroom whiteboard.

Connect: Resound Live is breaking down barriers to access to live music. Schools are invited to experience the excitement of DaDaFest Scratch, a music event which showcases the creative talents of developing artists who are D/deaf or disabled from the Liverpool city region.

The event will include expressive music performances and premiere a new composition. There will be plenty of opportunities for audience interaction too, no instruments required!

There is a Teachers’ Pack to support the broadcast and help teachers to lead music activities in the classroom. This has a focus on Accessible Music Making and is available here: https://connectresound.live/resources/

It’s easy to tune in online, just make sure your settings allow access to YouTube. You can test in advance by visiting connectresound.live/watch. If you need any assistance contact info@nymaz.org.uk.
