Norfolk Music Hub is delighted to launch a new project for the Autumn term for all budding ukulele players between the age of 7 and 13. This is a beginner online course that will commence on the 1st October 2020 and offer weekly tutorials by Mrs Lesley Amey from the Norfolk Music Service.

You will need:

  • A ukulele
  • Access to the internet with audio
  • Access to a tuner or a tuning app online
  • Small round stickers to assist with chords (please see picture below)

Once registered you will be issued with access to weekly resource via a Yumu (Charanga) account. Each week a new resource will be launched and by the end of the project you will be able to play four chords on the ukulele and be ready to play along with new friends. You will also be offered monthly workshops online on a Wednesday after school for 20 minutes with people from your area that have signed up for this project.

In the spring term we hope to offer face to face opportunities in areas across the county for students to get together and showcase the songs they have been working on.
