NORCA & Sistema in Norwich is continuing the Big Samba Drumming Group (bloco), with funding from Norwich City Council to work towards the Lord Mayor’s Procession in July.
The group will continue to be led by experience samba leader Jon Cann, supported by Jake Hishon.
The group will meet roughly on a monthly basis on Saturday mornings. This time may not suit everyone so it’s not expected that every child makes every rehearsal, but the more they attend the better they will get and the more pieces they can do. The time and location will be reviewed as the group goes on.
The first rehearsal will be on:
Saturday 12th October
10am to 1pm
West Earlham Junior School, Scarnell Lane, Norwich NR5 8HT
(entrance to the car park is on Hutchinson Road)
Cost: £2 per session, per child
Please ensure your child/children has a snack and a water bottle.
