The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain is currently recruiting young musicians from across the country to join NYO in 2020.
This is an exciting opportunity for young instrumentalists and composers, aged 13-19 who play to Grade 8 standard or equivalent and have a passion for orchestral music, to join the world’s greatest orchestra of teenagers.
The selected musicians will perform the most challenging music with the world’s greatest conductors in major concert halls throughout the UK and take part in exciting projects to inspire other young musicians throughout the year. Auditions are FREE, friendly, and great learning experiences. NYO Tutors share playing tips in a workshop, and all applicants receive performance feedback. Bursaries are available to cover the full cost of a place in the orchestra, plus travel to auditions.
