For the Lord Mayor’s Procession in July 2019, NORCA & Sistema in Norwich is working with Norwich City Council to create a big youth samba drumming group. This group will be at the front of the procession, in the ‘big animals’ themed section.
Samba tutor, Jon Cann, works with several schools across Norwich on behalf of Norfolk Music Hub. Jon will be leading the group in the procession, which will be made up of pupils from Drayton Junior School, Magadalen Gates Primary, White Woman Lane Junior, Poringland Primary, Buxton Primary and West Earlham Junior.
Norwich City Council has gained Arts Council England funding to help develop the procession and put on a great show. Come and see this spectacle at the Lord Mayor’s Procession on Saturday 6 July!
