On Thursday 16th June, seven schools from SEND settings came together at The Memorial Hall, Dereham in an exciting summer music event, supported by Norfolk Music Education Hub, to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday.

The pupils, from Fred Nicholson School, Chapel Road School, Harford Manor School, Sidestrand Hall School, Churchill Park School, Edward Worlledge School, and Parkside School, spent the day enjoying instrumental workshops and activities provided by STOMP, Musical Keys, C Lab Media and Norfolk Music Service.

The event was rounded off with a performance by students from the Purcell School, who demonstrated their instruments and engaged with the children, who were all given flags to wave along to the music.

The event was attended by Lord Lieutenant Jewson, representing the Queen, who spoke to the children and posed for photographs!
