Thetford Music Project is an after-school music centre that offers school-aged children living in and around Thetford the opportunity to learn and perform a wide range of musical instruments. Over 90 children come through the doors of Thetford Academy on a Thursday between 4.00pm and 7.00pm. Instrumental, singing and theory classes are offered from as little as £2 per session making it affordable for parents on low income.

In addition, members can enjoy making music together in one of the many ensembles, such as Rock Band (4pm), Band, Singing Group or String Ensemble (run by Frances Levy at 6pm). As well as the music centre, TMP also support local schools, providing visiting tutors and promoting high quality workshops for junior and high schools.

Thetford Music Project is a charitable organisation relying on donations and sponsorships as well as support from Norfolk Music Hub.
