The Symphonic Wind Band was started over 35 years ago. Throughout that time a vast number of pupils from Norfolk schools have had the opportunity to develop their musical ability and collective music making with the ensemble.
The ensemble has achieved Outstanding at the Norfolk County Music Festival 5 years in a row! The band also reached the Music For Youth National Festival in Birmingham, July 2023 and the Music For Youth Proms at Royal Albert Hall, November 2017 & 2019.
How to join
New players welcome throughout the year however places are auditioned. Advanced brass players especially welcome.
