Classic Ibiza have demonstrated that a collaboration between traditional ‘classical’ instrumental and contemporary popular styles of music can provide an exciting and invigorating concert. To support the development of orchestral opportunities across the county, the Classic Ibiza project will provide an opportunity for pupils to develop their musical skills under the guidance of Stephen Hussey, MD of Urban Soul Orchestra – the ensemble behind the hugely successful Classic Ibiza concert programme.

This initiative is open to all musicians playing at Grade 5 standard or above on the following instruments:

Clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon, orchestral percussion, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, trombone, tuba, violin, viola, cello and double bass.

Greshfest 22

The project will culminate at ‘Greshfest 22’ on Saturday 18th June 2022 at Gresham’s Theatre in the Woods with a stunning evening performance of young Norfolk musicians and the Urban Soul Orchestra providing an uplifting collection of material.

All resources including music and backing tracks will be sent to you directly to practice before the rehearsals. All rehearsals will be held at Gresham’s Auden Theatre and have been specially arranged by both Stephen of Urban Soul Orchestra and students. Families are welcome to sit in on the rehearsals at Greshams.

Greshfest is a weekend of live music, also featuring the Greshfest Arena where families can enjoy Norfolk’s finest street food vendors, entertainment, circus rides and games, Aspiring Artists Stage and much more!
